OLT 528 – Introduction to Presentation Design

Career Focus Presentation

The purpose of this presentation provides an opportunity to practice making a brief speech that condenses your professional career focus by following a PechaKucha format based on your CV and cover letter. A career focus presentation is a response to the question, “Your background is in Organization, Learning, and Technology (OLT). What is that? How is competence in that field of practice suited to this position?”

A PechaKucha “20×20” is a simple presentation format in which the presenter displays and discusses 20 images, each for 20 seconds. Preparing and presenting your PechaKucha demands that you have a clear, concise, and well–articulated message about your personal career focus.

Based on your CV and cover letter, create a Microsoft PowerPoint presentation file containing 20 slides – no more, no less. You will present one PechaKucha with 20 slides (each slide displayed for 20 seconds) which lasts a total of exactly six minutes and 40 seconds to describe the status of the development of your career focus.

OLT 575 – Performance Analysis and Improvement

Organizational Performance Analysis and Improvement Plan

Angels of Care Pediatric Home Health

This was the final group project for the Performance Analysis and Improvement course. The group chose to conduct a technology rollout. The objective of the performance analysis opportunity was to implement SharePoint across the organization as a communication tool and knowledge management system. The overall goal of the rollout is to enable consistent communication between the various locations and provide a centralized location for process documentation.

The opportunity to work with classmates throughout this project was invaluable. Many times the task of conducting the performance analysis and improvement plan was overwhelming. The group dynamic allowed us to meet and discuss what we did not understand or seemed overwhelming. This process helped me understand the process and gave me an appreciation for the group process.
